Only for the Middle East: The 2018 GMC Acadia’s All-Terrain trim gets a refined look

The GMC Acadia is a powerful urban mid-size SUV that also serves as a multi-terrain cruiser.  The SUV has got what it takes to compete with heavyweights like Ford Explorer.  To remain competitive, GMC is upgrading the all-terrain trim of the Acadia in Dubai and rest of the Middle East and the upgraded model will get a stylish look due to special rims, black chrome trim, and body-color grille.

The upcoming all-terrain Acadia will be available as SLE and SLT models. The Acadia’s all-terrain version delivers excellent traction on rough terrains due to an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system and also due to the Active Twin Clutch that offers excellent power efficiency. Moreover, the SUV has one of the most fuel-efficient engines within the segment.

The Engine

The all-terrain version of the 2018 GMC Acadia is equipped with a 3.6-litre V6 engine that delivers 310 hp. Additionally, the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system found in the SUV ensures higher fuel efficiency. The Acadia is one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in the market and the AWD models have reported fuel consumption figures of 11.7L/100 km.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission system. The performance is further optimized by an electronic drive model selector. Moreover, the engine’ performance is improved due to direct injection, variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation technology.

Safety Features

The all-terrain Acadia’s bold design imparts a sophisticated look to the SUV. Along with the refined look, the all-terrain Acadia will get advanced safety features like Surround Vision Camera System, Lane Keep assists, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Change Alert, and front as well as rear parking assist. The upgraded model retains intuitive features of the previous model. Features like Rear Seat Alert and Smart Slide feature are available in the upgraded model as well.

GMC hopes to increase sales by positioning the 2018 GMC Acadia all-terrain trim as an ideal crossover for the region. Will customers in the Middle East favor the GMC Acadia only because of its bold looks and refined style? Please share your thoughts by posting comments in the box below.
