2018 Honda Accord all set to deliver more power with excellent handling

Mid-sized Japanese sedans are in vogue again and all the Japanese car makers are in the league to dominate the market. More specifically, it is the fierce competition between Toyota Camry and Honda Accord that has set the market ablaze. Earlier this year, Toyota launched a redesigned Camry that superseded its competitors in several areas like acceleration, interior quality, handling and cargo space. It is actually the excellent handling of the new Camry that gave it an edge over 2017 Honda Accord. In order to keep pace with its main nemesis, Honda has launched a newer version of Accord that aims to surpass the 2018 Toyota Camry on all fronts.

The new 2018 Honda Accord not only excels in ergonomics but also in delivering powerful acceleration. This is because Honda Accord’s newer version will also be equipped with Honda Civic R’s VTEC turbo engine along with a 10-speed automatic transmission system.  However, the VTEC engine will not deliver 306 hp as it does for the Honda Civic and it has been detuned to deliver 252 hp. One other model of 2018 Honda Accord will also be available with a 1.5 –liter engine that will deliver 192 hp. The turbo engine coupled with a newly designed suspension system ensures that the ride is comfortable with better handling.

The 2018 Honda Accord is sleek and it offers a large cabin that has door/roof pillars made of acoustic spray foam. Honda has also installed new sensing systems in the new Accord which makes the car one of the safest in the market. Some of the state-of-the-art systems are adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist technology, collision mitigation systems and sign recognition systems. The 2018 model will also come with a noise-cancellation system and it will be priced anywhere from $23,000-$36,000 depending on the features installed.
