Porsche has lifted the curtains off the hottest version of its latest Cayenne SUV at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Unveiled in the form of an all-new Cayenne Turbo, it begins sales at £99,291.
What’s under the bonnet is the new engine that sought inspiration from the latest Panamera Turbo. It features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 that generates power equivalent to 542 horses and 770Nm of torque. The gigantic power produced is transmitted to all four wheels yet the Cayenne Turbo employs the typical eight speeds Tiptronic S automatic gearbox over a twin-clutch PDK unit.
The car touches the 100kph mark within 4.1 seconds while topping at 177mph.
The vast body observes more unique and aggressive turbo tweaks underneath. These are a set of adaptive dampers coupled with the three-chamber air suspension system, which helps car in automatically adjust the SUV’s ride depending on the terrain. It also comes loaded with the goodness of variable anti-roll bars that use electronics to tighten the stabilizer bar and decrease the body roll.
Few of the highlights of the turbo exterior makeover consists of 21-inch wheels, wider wheel arches, body coloured bumpers and skirts. The interiors showcase new sports seats and a brand new steering wheel, both of which are heated as standard.
