Maserati Ghibli unveiled in style

Maserati pulled off the curtains to unveil its latest Ghibli at the 2017 Chengdu auto show in China. The car features a number of upgrades that address its bottlenecks such as improvements in design and incorporation of high-end technology to give its rival a tough competition.

Focusing on the upgrades in the engine department, the makers have blessed the S and S Q4 models of the car with a slight uplift in the output. The car now derives an enhanced power from the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-6. The output records a staggering 430 horsepower, outplaying previous 404 hp. On the other hand, the base model continues with a 345-hp output.

What mark the changes in the car’s exterior department are new headlights and more rigid grille and the front and rear fascias. On the whole, Ghibli witnesses an improvement in its overall look.

In a bid to improve the car’s infotainment system, the auto-giants have redesigned the centre of the dash to accommodate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ ubiquitous 8.4-inch touch screen display. This comes in addition to the new rotary dial controller.

The car features the latest electronic driver aids, which compelled the carmaker to replace the hydraulic steering system with the electronic power steering. The driver is further assisted by the adaptive cruise control complimented by traffic sign recognition and rear cross traffic alert. Further the car is loaded with the goodness of blind spot, lane keep assist and highway driving assist.  What enhances the car’s driving dynamics is a new setting which improves its stability control system.
