The all new 2018 BMW X4 spied

The fresh spy shots of the 2018 BMW X4  have landed, and what they unveil is the automaker’s next generation X3 based coupe-SUV.

No wonder the X4’s face derives its inspiration from the recently launched all-new X3, featuring larger kidney grilles complimented by the much puffed up and more aggressive front apron. To our surprise the car’s headlights do not showcase the auto-giant’s newly unleashed hexagonal lighting signature.

The car’s sides feature minor re-profiling whereas the rear end incorporates a heftily revision to showcase a much fresh and more aggressive rear apron, a tailgate complimented by the goodness of newer and thinner horizontal LED taillights.
Talking about the powertrains, the car opens up new platform for plug-in hybrid technology. The new X4 is most likely to feature the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol in addition to the electric motor setup derived from the 330e saloon, generating the power equivalent to 249 horses.

The last year proved fruitful to the automaker having sold nearly 60,000 X4s – merely a fraction of the brand’s trademark, but ultimately an extended output which observed a steep increase of 5.5 per cent from 2015.
The all new X4 will pave its way to the market as an SUV boom. The German car-makers are expected to unleash as many as five new models by 2019, enriched with the goodness of a couple of new badges. Furthermore, the brand plans replacements for the current X3, X4 and X5 SUVs.
