The introduction of Camaro ZL1 marks the beginning of a new era in Chevrolet motorsports. It is also the new race car for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, which will debut next February during Daytona Speedweeks, which flags off the NASCAR season for next year.

The makers look forward to race the ultimate Camaro ZL1 in the premier Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and showcase its calibre.
The Camaro ZL1 introduces a unique, track-oriented legacy to NASCAR. Reintroduced more than 40 years later, Camaro ZL1 rides on a winning legacy carried by the previous Chevrolet SS. The later scored 70 Cup Series wins till date and helped Chevrolet earn a record 39 NASCAR manufacturer titles — which incorporates 13 consecutive titles from 2003-2015.
Chevrolet has unveiled ZL1 as the performance optimized Camaro. It was developed to cater track-oriented performance right from the showroom floor. Camaro ZL1 comes enriched with the goodness of a 650-horsepower supercharged engine showcasing a competitive 90-degree V-8 configuration similar to the cup racing engines.
The engineers at Chevrolet worked wonders to pack the car with a plethora of tools, incorporating computational fluid dynamics analysis as well as wind-tunnel testing to optimize aerodynamic performance while ensuring that ZL1 maintains design character.
