2019 Dodge Charger to become more agile and stylish

2019 Dodge Charger to become more agile and stylish

The Dodge Charger is a rear-wheel-drive sedan that has earned the reputation of being a unique American muscle car. Unlike its other rivals, the four-door Dodge Charger has a bold appearance and it looks pretty menacing on the roads. Just like its external appearance, the Charger is extremely agile due to an effective suspension and upgraded tires. The sedan is not only a car that delivers thrill but also a family car that has a roomy cabin along with a spacious trunk.

Pros and Cons

In reaction to the favourable consumer demand, Dodge has been regularly upgrading and expanding the Charger product line.  In 2017, the Charger was available in eight variants in addition to other popular options like the SRT 392 Hellcat and the SRT Hellcat.  Moreover, the performance car is available with a number of trim levels that come with various types of spoilers, scoops, wheel designs and paint options.  The Charger is also available in a number of engine options that include the V6 and the Hemi V8 engines. The V6 engines deliver power in the range of 292-600 hp while the V8 engines offer power in the range of 370-485 hp.

However, the Charger has been frequently criticized for being too hefty and there has also been a need to equip the car with the manual transmission system. As of now, the car engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission system.  Dodge has made an attempt to address these shortcomings by updating the 2019 Dodge Charger whose glimpse was revealed to car enthusiasts in a teaser campaign.

Expected Improvements

If the latest report is to be believed, the 2019 Dodge Charger will be undergoing weight reduction along with an improvement in fuel economy. It appears that Dodge wants to make the Charger more agile and stylish so that it can compete with rivals like Nissan Maxima and Chevrolet Impala. The teaser photos reveal that the grille has been given a slimmer appearance to make it look stylish. Moreover, the upgraded Dodge Charger will have a new air inlet duct beside the headlight. This means that the Charger SRT Hellcat might get power more than the existing 707 hp. Further details about the upcoming model are to be expected just before its showroom appearance.

Enthusiasts can expect the delay in the car’s launch because the Dodge Charger will be getting a new platform. The 2019 Dodge Charge’s new platform is the same that is found in Maserati Ghibli and the platform migration will likely delay the launch.  Do you think that the new improvements make the?
