Keeping up with the trend, Chevrolet has revamped the Malibu sedan and the new 2019 Chevrolet Malibu will be endowed with some new improvements. Chevrolet engineers have always strived to design the Malibu to be more stylish and more spacious. Once more, Chevrolet has attempted to improve the Malibu’s appeal by introducing the new RS trim level.
The RS Trim level
The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu RS will appeal to customers who wish to buy a sportier Malibu. The RS trim level will be positioned between the high-end and low-end trims and it will have a starting price of $25,000. The RS model’s sportiness will be accentuated by the 18-inch wheels, a dual-tip exhaust, black accents, a rear spoiler and a steering wheel that is wrapped in leather.
Exteriors
The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu gets a larger grille design along with new headlights that are separated from the grille by a chrome strip. The exhaust tips have been stretched out and the taillight design has been tweaked in select models. Additionally, some trim levels have been endowed with LED taillights.
Engine Details
Chevrolet hasn’t made any drastic changes to the Malibu’s powertrain. The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu with the 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-4 engine will be paired a ‘continuously variable transmission’ (CVT) engine instead of the usual 6-speed automatic transmission. The Malibu with a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4 engine will remain coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission system. The 1.5-litre engine delivers 160 hp while the 2.0-litre engine gives 250 hp.
