In a previous blog, we had an overview of the advanced safety features of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Now, the Korean carmaker is extending the same features in the all-new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe that will be displayed at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.
While the 2018 version of the 7-seater model remains unchanged as far as the design is concerned, the upcoming 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will be having a design that is quite different from the previous models.
The recent images released by Hyundai clearly reveal that the 2019 Santa Fe’s design is based on the new Hyundai Kona. The images provided by the Korean carmaker gives a fairly good about the crossover’s exteriors as well as interiors.
A Bold Look
The 2019 Santa Fe has been endowed with an athletic personality thanks to a wider stance. The refined lines, the angular rear windows, the cascading grille, the slanting roofline and the twin headlights all give an elegant appearance that is indicative of the crossover’s top position in Hyundai’s SUV product line.
The crossover will be 187.8 inches long and 74 inches wide. The 2019 Santa Fe might be a little compact than the existing version but it has a wider wheelbase that imparts better stability and interior space to the vehicle.
Comfortable Interiors
The crossover’s cabin features fewer sharp angles and more flowing lines to give an upscale appearance. The vehicle has a wide infotainment system and there are additional buttons for functions like climate control.
The increased width of the model promises to offer more legroom. According to Hyundai, the 2019 Santa Fe will have some unique safety features like the ‘Safety Exit Assist’ which will prevent the vehicle door from opening if there is another car or a bicycle coming from behind.
Worldwide release
Hyundai is yet to divulge details about the powertrain that may be deployed in the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Till then, car enthusiasts will need to wait until they lay their eyes on the production model of the crossover that will be making its official debut at the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The car will be initially released in the European market and the US showrooms will start selling the car later in 2019. Currently, the regional release date for the GCC market is not known.
