W Motors shares details of the aggressive Fenyr SuperSport

W Motors, a UAE based automobile company, had earlier won laurels for becoming the first Arabian company to design and launch an indigenous Middle Eastern supercar.  Founded in 2012, W Motors had launched the expensive Lykan HyperSport sportscar at the Shanghai Motor Show and wowed the audiences with the supercar’s looks, performance and style. The car became so popular that it was featured in Furious 7. That same year, W Motors unveiled the concept of Fenyr SuperSport, its second hypercar, at the Dubai Motor Show. A video released by W Motors give a glimpse of some of the car’s specifications and the numbers clearly reveal that the car is nothing less than a wonder.

The engine

The hypercar gets 900 hp from a flat-six 4.0-liter engine that is paired with a couple of turbochargers. The RUF-engineered engine also delivers a peak torque value of 885 pound-feet. The Fenyr SuperSport has a top speed of 249 mph and it can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds. The designers and engineers have achieved a remarkable feat of keeping the car’s weight as low as 1,200 kilograms. The low weight is due to the car’s carbon fibre body. The car is equipped with a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission system that transmits power to the rear wheels using a limited slip differential.

Unique design

The car has a unique and an aggressive design that may remind car enthusiasts of high-tech vehicles used by fictional super-heroes.  Only 25 car models of the Fenyr SuperSport will be exclusively launched. The price of the car hasn’t been revealed yet but it speculated that the expensive car will have a cost of AED 12,400,000 which is the price of the Lykan HyperSport, the third most expensive car in the world.

The limited-edition Fenyr SuperSport will be exclusively built for exclusive customers across the globe. Moreover, it is likely that the hypercar will be sold to exclusive customers within the UAE. Earlier, the Abu Dhabi became an exclusive customer of W Motors when it specially bought the Lykan HyperSport for its patrollers.
