Recently, Audi wowed car enthusiasts around the world when it revealed that the upcoming model of the A8 sedan will be the first fully automated car made by any luxury car maker. In fact, the A8 will be equipped with ‘traffic jam pilot’ that will put the car in automatic driving mode when it is amidst nasty traffic. Now, Audi has launched the new 2019 A7 model and the good news is that the car has a number of features similar to A8.
The A7 as well as the A8 display the same style in their roomy interiors. The A7 has attractive interiors that look stylish due to broad horizontal lines. The dashboard and door panels look bolder with angular features. Moreover, the car offers more head and knee space than the [previous models.
Audi is said to be revolutionizing its upper-tier car designs and technologies for having an edge over its key competitors like Mercedes. The new Audi A7 will be equipped with a plethora of sensors and safety gadgets that communicates with zFas, a cloud-based computing platform. The different on-board sensors are five cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, five radars and a laser scanner. These sensors make it possible for implementing some advanced technologies like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist. The later models of A7 will be reportedly equipped with advanced technology that can read parking signs and communicate with other Audi cars using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication links.
The 2019 A7 will get 340 horsepower from a turbocharged 3.0-liter gasoline V6 engine. The A7’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission enables it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Moreover, the car can zoom with a maximum speed of 155 mph. The car will be sold at a base price of $69,700. Even though it will not equipped with A8’s ‘traffic jam pilot’, the 2019 Audi A7 will appeal to a large number of Audi fans who cannot afford to buy the A8.
