The car is perceived as too expensive because the price is not worth the amount of performance improvement. On comparison, it may be found out the competitors like Ford Focus RS and Volkswagen Golf R might deliver the same performance in the same price range. However, it must be noted that this will one of the safest models because it comes with goodies like blind-spot monitoring, automated high-beam lights and rear cross-traffic alert. Moreover, cars in the WRX STI product line are regarded as best sports cars that deliver value for money and the range of accessories that come with the 2018 spec.R clearly prove that the car is no different from its predecessors.
