Land Rover to launch a more powerful Range Rover Sport SVR in 2018

Maintaining your position as UK’s largest car manufacturer is not an easy task and Land Rover trying its level best to maintain that position by offering unique features in its vehicles. Recently, the car maker was in news when it fitted an entire full-range kitchen in the Land Rover.  This feat must have impressed a range of celebrity chefs but the car maker appears to be eager to deliver more.

Land Rover has launched an updated version of the 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR with new feature and a plug-in hybrid option. The vehicle was always regarded as a high-performance SUV that guaranteed a luxurious experience to anyone who wished to venture off the road.  The 2017 version of the SUV was fitted with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that provided 550 hp. The 2018 version is equipped with the same engine but the power has been boosted to 575 hp.  The powerful engine has supercharged the car to attain a maximum speed of 162 mph. Moreover, the car quickly zooms from 0 – 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.

Land Rover’s engineering team has improved suspension damping that has improved turn-in, mid-corner grip and body control. Moreover, the vehicle is offering better pitch control under high acceleration. The vehicle has been given a more aggressive look and the hood is now made up of carbon fiber and other composite materials. The car has a number of openings on the front bumper so that more air can flow to the front brakes. The disc brakes are now fitted in the 21-inch wheels.

The car’s interior flaunts sporty bucket seats that are lighter than the seats available in the previous versions. These seats offer a luxurious driving experience to the driver as well as the front passengers.  The 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR will be launched in 2018 with a starting price of $114,595.
