Embrace yourself auto-fraternity across the world! Chevrolet’s new RST trim is all set to pave its way to the 2018 Tahoe and Suburban. The car offers impressive performance credentials thanks to the monstrous engine powering this upcoming sensation.
The RST features the standard 6.2-liter V-8 which works wonders to generate giant 420 horsepower coupled with 460 pound-feet of torque.
What works alongside the bigger and better engine is General Motors' new 10-speed automatic transmission. Already known as the 10L80, it makes a close relative to the Camaro ZL1's Hydra-Matic 10-speed.
The RSTs' new powertrain comes together to pave way for some impressive preliminary stats. As per Chevy, the Tahoe RST takes merely 5.7 seconds to sprint from 0-60 mph which is similar to that of a Volkswagen GTI on the broader aspect.
With the amazing Performance package, the RST is also blessed with the updated MRC system featuring “performance calibration” that enhances body control for even higher levels of responsiveness and comfort.
Although Chevy hasn’t unravelled an official pricing for the RST trims quite yet, but one could expect that to hit the market closer to the trucks' on-sale date later this year.
