Audi has launched some of the popular long-wheelbase cars like A4L, A6L, and A8L. The German carmaker had always harbored plans to launch a long-wheelbase SUV for the booming Chinese market. Now eager Chinese customers need not wait any longer because Audi has unveiled its Q5L long-wheelbase SUV at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The Q5L will be Audi’s first long-wheelbase SUV.
Longer dimensions
The Audi Q5L is longer than the standard Q5 SUV model by 3.5 inches. The rear passengers in Q5L get more space and an additional 4.3 inches of legroom. However, Q5L’s storage space is same as that of Q5. This means that the QL5’s storage capacity will be 19.4 cubic feet with upright rear seats and space can be expanded to 54.7 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded.
Interiors
The interiors of Audi Q5L resemble those of the 2019 Audi Q5. The cabin has a luxurious feel due to leather upholstery and cozy seats. Additionally, the luxurious fell has been enhanced due to use of wood details and glossy as well as matte finish. Moreover, the cabin is organized and well-designed.
Engine
The Audi Q5L is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TFSI engine that is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system. The SUV will be sold as an all-wheel drive vehicle and customers have the option to select an engine that delivers 190 hp or an engine that delivers 252 hp.
The Audi Q5L will be manufactured in China and it will be initially sold in China. The SUV will be successful in those countries where rear passengers desire more space and comfort. Specifically, the QL5 is meant for top executives who use chauffer-driven vehicles.
