The new features found in the 2018 Hyundai Sonata hybrid deliver more safety and comfort to the customer. These features include LED interior lighting, USB charging port for backseat passengers, heated as well as ventilated front seats and a satellite radio system. Additionally, the 2018 Sonata hybrid will come with a panoramic sunroof and LED headlights.
The starting price of the new hybrid model is $30,500. Customers have the option of spending $34,350 on the Ultimate Package trim that comes equipped with safety features like adaptive cruise control, auto brake system, lane-keep assist and rear parking sensors. Additionally, the sedan will be having wireless phone charging, heated steering wheel and the larger infotainment screen for reading navigation details.
The Powertrain
There aren’t any drastic changes in the powertrain; hence the 2018 Hyundai Sonata hybrid will come with the same 2.0-litre inline-4 engine that was found in the previous model. The engine delivers a power of 193 hp. The only change in the current powertrain is that the size of the lithium-ion battery has increased by 9%. This has improved the fuel economy by 1 mpg. The ‘mpg’ figures for the new model are 40 and 46 for the city and highway respectively.
